The cricket Lionesses competed in group B of the 2025 ICC women’s T20 world cup Africa qualifier in Gaborone, Botswana alongside Rwanda, Malawi and Lesotho.
After playing the group stage, Cameroon finished 3rd with 1 win against Lesotho and 2 defeats against Rwanda and Malawi.
This then propelled Cameroon to compete in the playoffs in order to determine their rank in the competition where they played and won 2 more games to rank 5th.
Although Cameroon finished 5th out of 8 teams in the qualifiers, the Indomitable Lionesses made individual waves, with 3 players earning Player of the Match honors and one Lioness finished best bowler having claimed the most number of wickets
